The poison pill

If their young new qb gets a booboo they will have a legitimate crisis, as would most schools. Injuries removed, they look to be in good hands.

Williams was the No. 1 qb in the country coming out of hs, he's pretty skilled. I think he'll do fine. OU can't keep trying to win scoring 20 pts a game. It's time for a change.

I agree. It is important to have a defense that can win you some games here in there when the offense is in a funk.

William's has 1 game under his belt. As soon as the DC's start to scheme him, his success may be limited. He's young. Rattler will probably opt out for the draft, if he is draftable. He most likely won't be a high end pick, more of a mid round guy, although I would take him 4th round in a heartbeat just so I could worship his fro.. Anyway, Riley has a tricky situation on his hands.

I am probably in the minority but Im not a huge fan of Riley as a head coach. I personally would rather him be the OC with Stoops or someone as HC telling him to keep the hammer down on offense until he’s told otherwise. Im of the opinion Riley is content winning each game by 1 point, he coaches as if it’s just a given the other team is going to score a lot so we just have to make due and compensate.

in the RRS game Saban or any other Championship caliber coach would have been livid with Texas jumping out 14-0 lead on 2 plays that were easily preventable. The first play 3 guys can’t make a tackle, the receiver goes 80 yards, the ensuing drive our punt blocker get pushed back 2 yards and allows the punt to be blocked, then another TD. Nothing from Riley on those plays other than”Well we got down early and battled back” I know we’re 6-0 but Riley’s damn aggravating in how he approaches the game of football.

Sounds like “high class problems.” 😂

Couldn't scheme to stop Mayfield, and certainly not Murray. Not saying the kid is going to win a Heisman or go #1 in the draft, but he kind of jumped off the screen at me in his first game. He's got riley calling plays for him too, so that helps.

Based on last night, I don’t think CW will be the reason we don’t win the Big 12 (if we don’t win it of course)

O'K, MM. Here are all four of the OU fans who visit your site. Maybe has something to do with the Horns being OU's biggest rival for over 90 years. And OU fans curious what the Horns are up to. And you took care of Woody. You guys don't think CW the real deal. Maybe 5 OU fans in a million agree after last night. But don't mean to take up your space. At least you are not going through Blake types years. How that moron won the '96 RRS is one of great mysteries of college football. 6 weeks to go.

He's the real deal. You should thank Texas for making Riley get the better player off the bench in a time of desperation. Now only if we could get a better AD in our time of desperation that has better answers than carnivals and rap shows but I don't think he does. We are in trouble. The Alamo Bowl is our ceiling and we aren't even getting there this season. It's a failed season.

You may have something 2300. When Joe C. became the OU AD in '98 his first job was hiring Stoops. So we are into year 23 of having him oversee the show with some good results. From checking on this site for many years, although MM getting a little irritated I think, looks like you have a club of big dollar donors who want part of the action. Have no idea if that is the case. But I think Joe C. does not have that kind of pressure.
