We got any water-boys that want to go into the portal to pass Gatorade out for another team? Should have never put that up, all this new crap on Kickoffs and punts have ruined the game, and don't give me that crap about safety, if they want to play FB or Badminton, You can always say you won a Natty at Texas plaything touch FB...The heads of FB have ruined this game, what next? you gonna have to play barefooted cause the cleats make blisters on your feet, FB died in the 80's...90's

Not no OSHA involved, I just hate when ya use young kids and tell them come to Texas and play ball and they sit on the bench or scout squad, then you get a future class and tell them the same and they have to transfer off to reach their FB goals,,That's the old keep'em till somebody better comes along crap, not fair to the kids, makes ya wonder why they signed them in the 1st place, got a feelin its all politics
What's your solution? I highly doubt we sign recruits with the assumption that no matter what, they will never see the field. Some guys develop further in college, some guys disappoint. The greatest recruiting class in the history of college football will have players in it that don't contribute.
I don't know, but I do know its not cool to use someone then cut them loose later cause ya got someone better, I betcha that after the 1st yr, they all wish they had their LOI back regardless of what University they signed with, especially if they aren't gonna get to play
It's college football, the better players play. Was Clemson wrong to play a true freshman QB? Would they be better off not being national champs because it's not cool to play him over the previous starter?
Who is being used? They are awarded a scholarship and all the perks.
I'm not saying we're going to bench Ehlinger for Johnson, my point is simply that better football players play football. There's nothing unfair about that. If the top high school RB prospect in the nation was dying to play at UT, should we say, "no thanks, that would be unfair to Kyle Porter?"
Your saying everyone on the Team is getting full ride? Are the preferred walk-on getting a Full ride? What do you call recruiting them and then not playing cause you just recruited some else better and now he has to sit, or go to the Portal to play

I got a point for ya Weev! Recruiting is like selling someone something and then not delivering to some and they have to go somewhere else to get it
Preferred walk-ons are not the guys putting their names into the transfer portal. And they're not being promised playing time.
