It's blatantly obvious in reading the indictment that Trump could seriously be guilty. I'm thinking their defense is going to be that it's political and that amongst other politicians that a have been careless with documents previously, they were not indicted.
That defense likely is going to be week in the fact of the law. I'm naturally a conservative... I enjoyed Trump being president, but his imperfections of not keeping his mouth shut, ego, and the obsession with the 2020 election act (while it has merit) has grown tiresome.
Could it be possible that Trump going to jail could actually be good for the country. A message to politicians to get their act together and stop thinking they are above the law. Will a trickle down affect happen for Biden, Clinton, etc.? It's my hope...
However, my biggest fear at the same time could be that since Trump isn't a lifelong politician and isn't part of the "club", that will hit him hard because of the disruption he seeks to cause with "the establishment". We are living in some delicate times for our country... our leadership is absolutely inept and the foundational cracks are beginning to widen.
