What's next? How do they start winning general elections again? Do they keep doubling down on their current strategies and platform, or do they evolve and start nominating more moderate candidates? I'll admit that it's been a while since I've voted Republican in the general (W's first term), but I'm more than ready at this juncture. I think 12 years of a progressive agenda will be more than enough to get some much needed changes, but unfettered liberalism is just as bad as unfettered conservatism. IMO, the country works best when one party doesn't have sustained power over a prolonged period of time. Anyways, I'm very interested to see where the GOP goes after this election; hopefully they are able to wrestle some influence away from the Tea Party and present the country with a better choice than freaking Donald J. Trump.
