To the board regulars, I really enjoyed what we had with this board previously. It was slow, which I liked. Like overrun with 1000s of posts daily. Just the big ticket items, more than you'd get from LHN or twitter but not a bunch of "insider" information and meltdowns. I liked keeping guys up to date on the major recruiting movement, info I gathered from other free sites and posted here. We had a small but regular crowd and were able to get to know each other.
I think the major bickering is over. Let's take the advice Clob gave on the other thread, just stop responding to any troll type posts from new comers and they will either go away or only post pertinent stuff and become productive members of this board. We all had our chance to gripe, criticize and complain but from now on let's just hold our collective tongues and get back to the peaceful board we enjoyed.
To the new guys who will inevitably read this, welcome. Please keep the banter on this board pertinent. It has been enjoyed a while now by folks who enjoy basic longhorn news and discussion without the drama. You will be welcomed here if you can do that. If not, please just keep it on the paid forum where it seems to be enjoyed.
