“Whoever is happy will make others happy too”. - Anne Frank
I have an old high school buddy who always seems happy. I visited him when Texas played Michigan this season. He graduated from Michigan and he invited me to stay with him while I was visiting him and a couple other old HS friends to catch up and play golf. We watched the game together.
You would expect we would give each other a hard time before, during, and after the game; but not my friend. He was very cordial the entire time, was gracious in their convincing defeat, and congratulated me on the victory and hoped we would do well the rest of the season.
His continence was contagious. I couldn’t help but mirror his attitude. This is a man who had been through hell over the last couple of decades, two divorces, losing his brother, and two parents within a short period of time. He re-married a few years ago and his wife is just as nice and exudes positivity.
He inspires me to find the best in people and in any situation.
Let’s try to be more like my HS friend.
