“I have already lost touch with a couple of people I used to be.” —Joan Didion
Have you ever had an old friend that you’ve lost touch with? Maybe that “friend” was a bad influence on you?
I’ve had friends come and go in my life. Some I still talk to and others I will probably never hear from again. Sadly, the ones I don’t hear from anymore are the ones who made some bad decisions or had a knack for finding trouble.
One of those people was me, the younger foolish version of me that was blessed to finally grow up and become a responsible adult. I thank my Creator for having patience to wait for me to seek and find Him. My life changed so much for the better after that decision. I don’t miss that former version of me, but at times when I am reminded of that version of myself, I feel a great sense of gratitude for the positive changes because of that decision.
If any of you are struggling, seek out the ONE who is always at the door knocking, asking you to let Him into your life to make a change for the better.
