Nowhere To Run To…No Where To Hide
Have you ever suffered because of someone else’s wrongdoing? This is all too common.
If you remember the story of Hagar, she was the servant of Sarai, Abraham’s wife. When Sarai couldn’t conceive, she gave Hagar to her husband to bear a child, a son. Then once she became pregnant Sarai despised her and treated her so badly that Hagar fled. Hagar only did what she was told yet suffered for Sarai’s faithlessness. The Angel of the Lord came to Hagar and comforted her and told her of the blessings He had in store for her and her descendants. Hagar commented that she felt SEEN.
I have had several people hurt me, relatives, employees, and even friends. Through no fault of my own, quite contrary in some cases where I did all I could do to help, only to be betrayed. It hurts, but I was able to overcome knowing that Jesus had me in His hands and that ultimate good would come from other’s sins.
If you are suffering from someone else’s sins, reach out to God for wisdom and comfort and He will meet you right where you are and bring you peace.
