Last Day

It’s a few days past Resurrection Sunday and that day reminds me of the promises we’ve been given, not only of eternal life, but that one day Jesus will return to take His believer’s home. Christians have debated for a long time about if that day will occur during their lifetime. We don’t know the exact day or hour. However, we are called to be READY.

But let’s say you DID know the exact day and hour next year of His return, how would it change your daily life, if at all? We are told we will have to give an account of how we lived. As exciting as that day will be, if I’m honest, the thought of reviewing my life makes me scared. Oh, I know I’m forgiven for all I’ve done, but still, I don’t want to see a rerun of that movie.

If you are a believer, it’s always good to do a self-check on your pursuit of being like Jesus, purifying anything that is not like Him. It’s a very tall task, but worth trying so that should that day come while you are alive, you’ll be confident and ready.
