“Even miracles take a little time.” — The Fairy Godmother, Cinderella

I imagine most of you would agree we live in a world of immediacy. We want instant results, we have microwave ovens to speed up cooking, fast internet at 1 or 2 gig speeds, we want to see election results the same night as the election, you get the idea.

I’ve seen people in my sphere of influence even expect immediate answers to prayers. I must admit, I have expected this at times in my life as well. What I have come to realize is that our Creator has His own agenda and timeline that may not line up with our wishes/expectations. A delay doesn’t necessarily mean a denial of our prayers and sometimes the answer is NO. There are situations where what we ask in prayer may not be in His will for us.

My encouragement to you is to keep your faith, even if what you ask for is delayed or denied. Like a parent at times tells their children NO to a request, so does our Creator at times say no for our protection or growth and learning. Instead of asking why not, think about asking…what lesson can I learn from this?

Blessing to you all on this Tuesday.
