“No day in which you learn something is a complete loss.” —David Eddings

For the so called “olds” that visit this TG thread, do you remember your first personal computer? I do, I remember being excited and intimidated by new technology. Fortunately, I had a good friend who helped me set everything up. He was the Chief Information Officer at his company, very sharp man who eventually came to work for me several years after I had my own company.

My PC opened up a whole new world to me and eventually the skills I learned helped me with my pharma rep job when all reps received a new laptop. I was way ahead of those who hadn’t been exposed to PC’s before and this knowledge got me on a path to a promotion to Sales Trainer.

Change, even for the better can be difficult. Just ask Ketch when Rivals rolls out new stuff LOL, OK bad example, but you get it. So many people bitch and moan when things change, but eventually most of us adapt and move on to the next challenge. Those who continue to wish for the good old days might find themselves stuck and turn into this grumpy old man type person SNL used to mock.

One blessing I have with 3 adult children is when a new feature comes out on my iPhone or Spotify, they are readily available to teach me some new stuff and I love it. They get a kick out of me when I demonstrate a new skill.

I encourage y’all to try new things and don’t be intimidated by changes; most can improve your life and give you confidence to keep trying new things. If you are stuck spiritually, our Creator can help you make a change for the better.
