Guys,
I wanted to let you know that my final show at YahooSportsRadio is this afternoon.
At the end of the month, the agreement that Gow Media had with YSR expires and essentially the YSR network as a whole will dissolve. Starting on August 1st, Gow Media will be partnering with SB Nation Radio and with that new relationship comes a little bit of change. Suddenly, my relationship with Yahoo will go from a plus to a negative and I think everyone can understand that SB Nation would like to be able to use my time slot in a different way.
I get it. No hard feelings.
I want to thank the combination of Eric Winter, Craig Larson and David Gow for being so committed to me and my show over the course of the last four years. The radio business as a whole isn't always pleasant, but working for Gow Media really re-established some faith and truth in the industry.
Frankly, I'm not real sure what will happen moving forward, at least on the radio side. Perhaps there's a path out there that I'll find interesting or perhaps I will simply dedicate all of my time and resources to Orangebloods, an idea that feels really good after eight straight years of daily radio.
Bottom line - we'll see what happens.
For those that have been listeners to the show, I thank you. Being able to do the kind of show that I want to do for the last four years has been a blast and I leave behind no regrets.
