“Happiness is not about getting what you want all the time, it’s about loving what you have and being grateful for it.” – Unknown
As some of you know I traveled to Portugal last week. This was my wife’s first trip to a European country and my first time in Portugal. The scenery and food were amazing and the cost of things there was much less than here in the US. Although we had a great time, there were things we missed that Portugal doesn’t have that we enjoy in the US.
It made me realize how good we have things in our country. The US is not perfect, but we are really spoiled with many things that are not available where we stayed.
When we touched down in the US before catching our connection back to Austin, the first thing we ordered at the airport restaurant was a cheeseburger.
If you are feeling unsatisfied with your situation, I suggest you count up what you have and thank our Creator for them. You’ll be surprised how many things you can be grateful for.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, James 1:17, Philippians 4:11–12
I'm grateful for all who read TG.
