If I Could Hitch a Ride on a Time Machine
“Keep looking out, not looking down
You won’t find the answers in the ground.
Where will we be twelve months from now…
…A lot can happen in a year.”
Three Six Five by Shinedown
For some of us the past several months, maybe the entire year, have been extremely difficult. Lost jobs, lost family members, lost marriages, and on and on. Let’s face it. Life can be tough. It can, at times, be extremely difficult.
When things aren’t going the way we planned, when it seems that we’re failing at everything we try, it’s hard to keep putting one foot in front of the other, to keep moving forward. However, time waits for no one, and going forward is the only way we can go. Yeah, there may be times when it seems like we’re moving in the wrong direction, but we can’t let any setbacks stop us.
If we keep our eyes on the ground the only things we’ll find there are potholes and road blocks; we won’t find answers. If we keep our heads up and our eyes looking forward, we just might find an opportunity that could change everything.
Twelve months from now, let’s not look back and wish we could get a do over. Twelve months from now, let’s look back and find that everything, even if just a little bit, is better.
Blessings and love,
Mrs. T-Sipper 1972
