Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn that whatever state I may be in, therein to be content.
~~~~~~~~~~~ Helen Keller
I reckon Helen Keller knew darkness and silence better than just about everybody. Through her teacher/translator Anne Sullivan, she became acquainted with a young preacher named Phillips Brooks, whose correspondence also introduced Helen to something called "God." She eventually "told" him that she'd "always known there was a God, but until now I've never known His name."
That was something she just knew, even after years of darkness and silence. Lie down in the grass sometime, and watch all the life and activity silently playing out beneath the blades. The immense Power of Creation is on full display, painted on a tiny canvas. Every moment we have is full of wonder, every God-given heartbeat a miracle.
Today, let's say Thanks.
Blessings,
NT
Go read verse 3 of O Little Town of Bethlehem. Written, btw, by Phillips Brooks
