Isn't it great that life is open-ended?
~~~~~~~~~~~~ Brigitte Frase
Elizabeth "Grandma" Layton became an acclaimed artist at the tender age of --- 86! In the years leading up to that, she spent most of her time and energy coping with debilitating depression. Therapy, meds, even shock treatments. Nothing. Then she signed up for an art class. To her amazement, she found that drawing pictures "cured" her depression. What did she think about her notoriety? She said that she wanted others to see her work so she could give hope to others who "suffered from feelings."
We all suffer from our feelings at times. Maybe we won't know the outright depression that Grandma faced, but we can each turn to our own creativity, and to our Creator, as sources of well-being and comfort. Have faith in your own goodness, ladies and gents. It's in there; dig it out.
What activity will help us out today? What can we do to help others to find a way out?
God bless you all.
