Who knew Darrell Kyle Royal was born in Oklahoma and played football at Oklahoma?

Sooner born and Sooner bred?

Horns named their stadium after a Sooner?

You do know Mack Brown was an OC at OU before becoming a HC at Texas?

Those horns that want to belittle Sooners and tout Horns, really need to check their Horns' bloodlines.

Where do you think they learned how to win Championships?

Scholtz doesn't appear to know that.
Just because you're an ignoramous, don't project that onto me. It's common knowledge for those who can read.

Yes, he was born in jokelahoma. One can't help where they're born but sure as hell can decide where they go. He intelligently got out of there as soon as possible and lived in Austin, TX for over half a century. He was offered the OU HC job and turned it down. Royal might've been born north of the Red but he was as Texan as they come.

Dude please. First of all Darrell Royal did not have a middle name, the K was just an initial didn't stand for anything. Bet you didn't know that did you? O

As far as sooner born and bred. DKR once said that while he was born and raised as an Okie, he was a dipped and vaccinated Texan. Bet you didn't know that did you?

At one time DKR was 12-2 against Oklahoma. Bet you didn't know that did you?

And it rankled the sooners that one of their own could go to their enemy and dominate them like that. Bet you didn't know that did you?

One of the drawback on this board is tshirt fans like you coming on here too gloat. Look you guys were the best team this year and you're the champs. Now go run along to an Oklahoma board.

And another thing. I doubt that any regular poster on here knows the fb history of the University of Texas like I do. And I don't need to Google anything to find it out. But you, on the hand obviously has to. And if you continue to do this on this board, I will make you even more ignorant than you already are.

Now go run along to sooner scoop

I'm not through with you. Your NBA team the Oklahoma City Thunder. The heat and soul of your team is a guy that went to the University of Texas. Bet you didn't know that did you?

And if that same guy from the University of Texas signs with another team next summer the Thunder will no longer be considered a contender.

Bet you didn't know that did you?

I don't live in Oklahoma and I think the Thunder stinks.

I'm a Texan. I bet you didn't know that. Texans for Sooners!!!

I'm glad the flagship and Jones's fired up that LHN up for the fan experience. I might decide to start watching it.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I come up with a 37-28 Horn record since the network was launched.
DKR will always be an Okie you can't wish that away. The same thing with these Texas citizens that occupy much of the state now. You have a population made up other states former residents. These new residents don't care about Texas football anymore. Fans in Texas follow other programs they grew up around.
DKR was an Okie that moved to Texas but when he coached here Texas was king. Those days are gone you have to much out of state and instate competition. Texas is not in the top 3 in this state anymore.

Call him an okie all you want but he got out that state ASAP and never lived there again. And he rejected an offer to be HC at blowu. He lived here in Austin for over 50 years. But keep trying to wish those facts away.

Doesn't change the fact, DKR is a Sooner first.

Sure. An okie that thought oklahoma was a POS place to live like the rest of us. Like you personally as well. But congrats on claiming all of that. :D

OU's campus was amazing. Lived it, loved it! Boomer Sooner!

Nevertheless you're still just another tshirt fan who doesn't know how to be cool when his/her favorite team wins.

Living in Texas huh? Anyone can say what state they live in. For all we know you live in Minot, North Dakota.

At least I'm telling the truth about where I live. If there is anything I can prove to verify this without divulging personal information I'd be glad to.

And I really don't care if you like the Thunder. First of all you started this. You came on here getting all low rent about UT needing the state of Oklahoma.

So you want to use that yardstick? Then the OKC Thunder will never win a championship without their franchise player who is somebody from UT.

Don't rush it out if you can't take it.
