Offense wins more than defense nowadays. Just need to field a decent defense.

LSU in 2019 and Bama in 2020 both won with elite offenses and average defense. Georgia won this year with a really good defense though.

Brian Robison was a mid 3*
Lyle Sendlein, Sam Cosmi and Kasey Studdard we’re all 3* players.
Colt McCoy was a mid 3*
Earl Thomas was a 3* player
Aaron Ross was a low 4*

Most of those were obviously Mack guys and we’re coached up by a great staff.

Enough of the BS. Coach up these dudes now. Win football games. Practice angry. Lift angry. Play angry.

We had a top 5 class last year and on track for another one this year. We recruited the offensive and defensive lines very well in these last 2 classes as well. There’s enough talent on this team to win 9-10 games this year. It’s the coaches job to coach them up now.

Catch 22

Not a catch 22. There are enough good players to win 9 games and a bowl game. Win 10 this year and you have real momentum for a monster 24 class.

Then you get a few elite LOS and LB guys. We get plenty of elite skill dudes. But it seems finally we have a staff that values speed at the WR position over height.

We have a staff that values height and reach over stars on the OL.

A staff that values weight, reach and motor on the DL.

Now if they can foster an environment of significant development.
