Texas played poorly in spots and is young in places but they f’d LSU up... Mark my words.... LSU made this their super bowl and they will pay for it this season... how many dudes tapped out????... how many injuries???... Seriously LSU fans enjoy this win bc the rest of your season is going to be rough (y’all have 3-4 losses that will directly come from this game)... u can hate on me right now and that’s fine ... but I’ve been coaching for a long time and I know what’s up... gg LSU fans but y’all took the worst of it and y’all have less to look forward to than Texas fans... but yeah I’m biased

UT D was given way more credit than they deserve, LSU may not light things up like they did today, but if they play as well the rest of the season, two losses tops. They are a quality team.

Just sayin... enjoy it right now LSU fans bc this is the high water mark of your season... y’all got ****ed up... hate on me now... but remember my words....

I disagree. That's one hell of a team. That's your SEC champs right there. And Clemson better watch out.

Great game, and I'm proud of how we refused to quit, and flat wore the best defense in the nation out. Nobody will push them around like we did. Book it.

Both Texas and LSU had this game marked on their calendar since last year and spent all off-season preparing for it as any team would. The fact that both teams gave up so much yardage was surprising to me. Texas can still compete for a ccg and perhaps a spot in the playoffs if they can win out which will be difficult considering there’s a couple offenses a lot better than LSU in the Big 12.

LSU will have their hands full as well in the SEC with their remaining schedule. Just think what Tua is going to do to that secondary.Neither team should have been boasting dbu with as many passing yards given up, imo, that seems to be what most folks have made the biggest snicker about at least on message boards that I’ve seen.

I’m pretty sure both teams playbooks are open? Why wouldn’t they be? Are you saying Herman would prefer to take a loss and miss the playoffs so he could only show “part” of the playbook? No

On a side note I thought Burrows doing the Fair Queen wave at the end was a little much.

I am leery of how the whole constant injury or cramping occurred. Our guys were tired as well on those long drives but they didn’t stop play by getting the trainers on the field for massages. LSU scored on many of those drives where our guys had “hands on hips”. It isn’t right to stop the game so many times when a team has some momentum going.

Burrows wave was mild compared to Mayfield. He waved good bye. Joke is on him though he goes back to Baton Rouge!
Apparently they planted a flag on your field too. I also noticed their rb did the horns down after his td but the refs didn’t call it

I was thinking the same. You can’t tell me it’s not just as hot in Louisiana if not hotter. Their players should be conditioned already. I’m just glad most of ours got out without injuries.

You weren’t watching the game then because he was talking crap to the fans behind the bench during the game and the camera caught ithttps://www.tigerdroppings.com/lsu-...st-laugh-and-waves-goodbye-to-texas/85242263/

Bell you can’t compare talking crap to grabbing your nuts and throwing a ball at a players head. That’s what I mean by Burrows wave as being mild compared to Mayfields antics. Anyway I don’t care if he was waving like a pageant contestant that’s his hand signal for his school I guess.

You’re combining Mayfield’s antics into one basket, what you describe of Mayfield happened on separate occasions. I just listed 2 things that Burrow did to UT fans last night but in your mind, Mayfield is the debil and therefore he grabbed his nuts and threw a ball at someone every game he ever played in therefore he’s horrible. Carry on

Ok Bell. Obviously you didn’t read my response to LMM. He started with the question to you about how you felt about Mayfields antics you said looking back it was douchery. All I said what Burrow did was mild compared to antics of Mayfield. That’s the truth don’t get your feeling caught up.

A lot better than LSU? The QB from LSU is arguably the best in the county. The kid was playing out of his mind last night.

Maybe, maybe OU's offense is little better than LSUs. But I definitely wouldn't go as far to say that its "a lot" better. Not with our offensive line looking a little shaky through the first two games.

From a playcalling and execution standpoint yes I think there are a couple offenses in the Big 12 better than LSU. There were several balls put up last night on a hope and a prayer on both sides

Yeah, that wasn’t LSU of the past. That QB is good. Damn good. And they have dudes that can go. RB is a bit down from what we’ve seen in the past but the OL is as solid as always.

OU probably has a better offense than LSU, but that’s it.

What a fantastic game that was. Wow. There's really no shame in losing a close one to that LSU squad, which is obviously a great team.

I picked Texas to win 12 games this year(including a bowl win), and that's looking pretty good right now. Nobody in the big XII is going to stop Ehlinger. He looks too much like GW Bush for my taste, but the kid is a straight up baller.

Cotton bowl game is looking like another shootout.

I guess any defensive coordinator could now use this strategy legally to neutralize hurry-up offenses and give the defense a rest. As long as the team has quality depth, then why not. I don’t like it, but it was a loophole exposed last night.

I wish I could remember who thought of this last night in the game thread, so I could give credit. Anyway, the idea was that if a player goes down, he must sit out a quarter. I don’t know what the right amount of time is fair, but he is on the right track. Why should they be able to come back in the play after next if the whole game, television broadcast and offensive rhythm was delayed probably at least 5 minutes?

Yeah it was odd that we never saw a Texas player go down from cramps and there is no way in hell its less hot and humid in La. than it is here unless they’ve been practicing indoors

Now don’t get me wrong I respect the job that Herbstreit does MOST of the time. Hes in a tough spot due to his ties to OSU but I do feel he tries to be fair and he actually adds a lot to a broadcast, BUT last night he went to the SEC SEC DEFENSE well a little early and often for my liking. Has anyone else noticed when the 2 best teams in the Big 12 have played the best the SEC has to offer the last couple years, the Big 12 puts up a ton of points and yards on those SEC defenses. The SEC guys always say, “no way would those video game offenses have success against Bama etc.” Chucklz

Last night during the game Herbstreit said he thought LSU should be ranked No. 1 after the game but today Herbie had them No. 4 right behind OSU. Come on Herbie put your money where your mouth is and stop hedging your bet for the easiest path to the College playoffs. That’s what wrong with the playoff system. If the playoff committee wanted fair and square, we’d go back to having the strength of schedule count 2/3 and the human factor count 1/3 but then they couldn’t manipulate the playoffs as easy so no, we can’t have it that way, that’s too fair.

There may be better offensive units in the Big12, but I don't think any of them play as well as LSU did. They were as efficient as I've seen an offense look in many many years. Even better than the OU offenses of Baker and the midget.

You’re comparing one game vs. 3 years of record breaking production and efficiency. Everyone has an opinion but apples to apples. Let’s see LSU throw up those efficiency numbers and yards against the best the SEC has to offer, the 2 OU qb’s you mentioned sure did.

And I was comparing those OU games against TX to the one LSU just played and I don't think OU played any better offensively than LSU did this past weekend.
