Twitter whining about where TCU band was located

Good!

Can’t believe it took us until 2018 to learn to stick visiting fans and bands in the sh*ttiest seats in the house, but better late than never.

Also, TCU does the same thing, so those crybabies can eat an especially large bag of dicks.

They do this to the other schools in the Big XII so their fans came hear their bands. And they got the audacity to complain? Last year I think it was OSU that put them in the nose bleeds. Give them a taste of their own medicine. Two years ago TT outsmarted them and had their band on the sidelines. If TCU wants to keep up this bull**it then let the rest of the Big XII do it to them and lets see how long they want to keep up this charade.

Did someone say bag of dicks?

Y'all know what this means? It means people are afraid of Texas again. Once we start winning and being a formidable opponent, people start complaining about anything they can think of to make us look bad.
HOOK 'EM
Sorry we have too many fans and we need all the seats plus we have enough people wanting to watch our school that we can have our own TV network. Sorry folks!

So can somebody post the actual twitter feed?

Some of us got kicked off twitter.....

Holy schnikes, I don't know how to do that.

Basically, some TCU guy tweeted at CDC about where the TCU band was located (up in the nosebleeds) and then CDC had to respond to a bunch of people that were beside themselves.

Hell, there were even Longhorns that were upset.

All those people can eat shit. The #1 group to cater to is the Longhorn fans, then security, concessions...about a million other people...and then the visiting team and fans.

I’ll weigh in since I used to be involved with LHB.....

We always understood the deal going into opposing stadiums and never had a problem with our location. Universities lose money providing 500 free seats to a sold out home game against Texas.

Having said that, the band kids involved do make a ton of sacrifices to be in the organization, and zero percent are on any type of scholarship. They scream their fool heads off for the entire game when they’re not playing instruments, which I always found impressive........ just the energy that takes for 4 hours. To me that always made them the best fans in the stadium.

IMO Texas has always treated opposing bands MUCH better than they’re treated on the road. It’s probably about time for CDC to recognize that and it seems he has. Kudos to him for sacking up and making a decision that has obviously pissed a lot of folks off, but is better for the UT game day experience - and ultimately for the football team.

To me it’s pretty simple. The home band gets the privilege of being close to the action and making an impact on the game. The road band should be happy to be there.

I love this! Also two home games in a row, I heard from friends that the pre-game and crowd noise was unreal.... as compared to last year. I haven't been to a game yet this year, can anybody attest to this?

Absolutely. Crowd affected both games. Fans are finally pissed off and rabid. And the game atmosphere is way better. They're not killing the momentum with 1,000 promotions and crap constantly anymore.

I was in section 2 on the alumni side. It was very loud most of the game. But it got eerily quiet towards the end of the 2nd half and at the beginning of 3rd quarter. UT was playing bad during that time and everyone around me thought we were about to get blown out. Never happened and crowd came back to life.

I will say this though . . . Lots of empty seats in the club area north endzone and the UT student section. Very disappointing.
