Had a discussion with some folks on the pros and cons of being the 5th and 6th seeds or the 1st and 2nd.
5th and 6th don't get the bye, but play the the two worst teams to make the playoff, followed by the two teams worst conference champs that got a bye.
1st and 2nd get the bye, but have to play the better at large teams in the quarterfinals.
Resting players and avoiding further injuries from the bye is huge. But playing lesser opponents in the quarterfinals is pretty huge as well.
What say you?
