Missed the game for Cowboy Mardi Gras. Watching replay on Lhn. I think Barnes is a good coach, but Shaka is amazing.

Yeah I've noticed so much difference with Shaka. Even the players he inherited he has made better. Every game we go in with a solid game plan. Maybe we lose but we're prepared. Last year it seemed as there were games the team was completely lost.
I'm not getting huge hopes for next year. Yes Shaka and his staff are great coaches, but we lose an awful lot of talent and experience. We have great players coming in, but they'll be freshmen.
Davis will be a soph, roach soph, Mack soph, cleare will be a senior. And we have a good recruiting class coming! We will be fine!
Yeah we should be, just losing all 3 of our best big guys worries me. Year 3 should be big.
When Cam broke his foot I thought the season was over. Shaka makes lemons into lemonade.
I agree, but there's one thing you can be sure of about next season: under Shaka's guidance, the team will improve tremendously as the year goes on. It's been a damn long time since we could say that with confidence around here.
Yessir! That's why he was my dream coach. Still can't be believe we got him. I still watch games, see him on the sideline, and I'm like, "damn, we really got that mother f*cker?" Lol. I never thought it was possible at Texas, but he's got me thinking national championship.
I have to admit as bad as I wanted Shaka i didn't think it was possible. He had just turned down to many jobs for me to believe he would take this one. Glad he did though, and I think he will turn the program in to a power and get the community behind basketball in a way it hasn't been before.
I also wouldn't be completely shocked if Taylor came back. Only reason to go is if you are a lock first rounder. Not sure he is.

I am glad I wasn't in charge of basketball hiring(as I am sure everybody else is as well-haha). At the time, I really wanted Marshall from Wichita State. Though he is an excellent coach, it didn't take long for me to see why everybody was so high on Smart. Shaka seems to be a home run on all levels-The man, the coach and the recruiter.
