Whatever you think of Brand or the sexual assault allegations against him, having the government go after someone's livelihood based on mere accusations of wrongdoing is concerning.
In a letter to Rumble, Parliament's chair of the Culture, Media, and Sports Committee wrote “We would be grateful if you could confirm whether Mr Brand is able to monetise his content, including his videos relating to the serious accusations against him,” she wrote. “If so, we would like to know whether Rumble intends to join YouTube in suspending Mr Brand’s ability to earn money on the platform.”
The committee also reached out to TikTok regarding Brand's ability to monetize the platform.
