56-7 Texas. If they score more than 14 points on our defense then we are in trouble. Their offense was like 129 out of 130 teams last season.
If it's that close then we'll be lucky to win 5 games this year.
This is a really bad football team. I'll be disappointed if we don't win by 35+ points.
Yeah...we should 100% score 45+ by end of 3Q. We should be over 50 points at the end of the game. It will be a disappointment if not.
Yes, but until proven otherwise, the defense is still the weakness of this team. I think bringing in Patterson to help with the defense will make a big difference. I can see ULM putting up 17-21 points, and some of that could come in garbage time. If Texas puts up less than 50, I'll be surprised. If everyone stays healthy on O, this team is going to score a lot of points this year.
Early in the year last season we shut Rice out and held a really good Lafayette team under 20 points. And that was a terrible defense last season. I bet we hold them to under 14 points. I think the defense is going to be better than they were last season. Don't know how much better but they won't be as bad as last year.

I think the only way I can deal with 24 points, is if we’re over 50-0 in the third, and the last quarter and half is all garbage time.
Sark better call a ton of deep shots and get Ewers in game time rhythm with that because that play is going to have to work to have a shot at pulling it off against Bama the next week imo
Yup, you're right. I'll remain a bit pessimistic until shown otherwise. We've been stung every year for a decade so maybe a bit of reverse psychology will do some good.
Warm up game for all and we have a lot of freshmen and new players. I don't expect to fire on all cylinders right out of the gate, the good news is that we shouldn't have to. Who cares what the score is as long as we knock the dust off.

It will inevitably happen hopefully sooner than later but I can't come to that conclusion with all the unknowns with this squad just yet. There's a whole lot of learning curve they need to get ahead of.
