Had a chance to connect with a lot of guys at The Opening a couple weeks ago and with the Under the Lights camp coming up, I thought it would be a good time to update the recruiting board.

Some notes ...

- A few of you have asked for the number of prospects UT might take at each position. I've included that in the position headers. Obviously, those totals are very flexible based on a wide number of factors, but the numbers should be pretty close as things stand right now.

- Pretty thin at RB with only one uncommitted offer on the board. JK Dobbins is the main guy to watch though. I'll probably be moving him back to the main section of the board at some point.

- Chances with Omar Manning go up after talking to him at The Opening. Texas is the team to beat there based on everything I'm hearing.

- Tight end section is bare. I expect the staff to start talking to a number of guys in the very near future, but no targets have really surfaced since Tennison decommitted last week. But Texas knew that was coming so there are guys on the radar ... it's just a matter of seeing how they prioritize them and seeing which guys are interested.

- Chances go up with Walker Little. I like Texas' positioning on that one as it stands right now. I've felt for a while that Stanford was UT's biggest threat and my feelings haven't changed.

- Not much action on the DE front. There's talk of K'Lavon Chaisson feeling better about Texas, but I haven't heard anything really that makes me think the Longhorns don't still have ground to make up.

- I'm moving the chances up just a tad with Marvin Wilson. Bottom line though, nothing is going to be decided in that one for a while.

- Bumped things up a bit with Anthony Hines based on a few conversations I've had. I had been in the camp that believed OU may have the lead, but I no longer feel that way. Tough one to call but I like Texas' chances a bit more than I did a few weeks ago.

- Same with Barron Browning. Him coming in for the UTL camp is huge, IMO. Especially since he had been talking about visiting Ohio State again. Not to mention the Malik Jefferson influence on him after the two talked at The Opening.

- Pretty quiet on the DB front, although I did add Josh Thompson to the "on the radar" section. Keep a close eye on that one moving forward.

I also moved Jeffrey Okudah to the section of not considering Texas. Barring a complete change of heart or an amazing 2016 season for Texas, that one's just not happening. In fact, Okudah has pretty much been wishful thinking for a while.
