Interview with college student during Vietnam:

Q: Why are you protesting?
A: Because many of my friends got drafted. They got killed or came back injured. One of my buddie's older brothers came back crazy. We are losing the war. The government is lying to us. The Vietnamese don't want us there. I don't want to go there.

Interview with Palestine protestor:
Q: Why are you protesting?
A: I saw some posts on social media and there were passionate people and they seemed cool.
Q: Do you think that all Jews should be killed?
A: I don't know about this.
Q: Why are you holding that sign that says 'Genocide to Israel."
A: Someone gave it to me.

The government response?

Vietnam: The FBI and J Edgar Hoover aggressively pursue subversive elements.
Palestine: College presidents testify to Congress that they are helpless to protect Jews. Members of Congress make speeches about From the River to the Sea.
