Just saw this on the ESPN ticker. I think it is a good move. I wonder what his actual duties will be.

Vince will be great at getting his picture taken with rich old guys, which is the job description. The question is can the guy responsible for babysitting Vince do his job. That guy will have a tough job.

I love VY but this is a joke. He’s been given numerous 2nd chances and has blown every opportunity. He’s proven himself to be unreliable and lacks the skills needed to fulfill any position with any level of responsibility.
Agreed. We are trying to resurrect the feeling of a title team. Sark has just made his first mistake. I must upgrade my score board.

I think VY did a good job while he was playing here, no one can doubt that, then he started falling apart at Tenn, then came the DWI;s ..etc at Austin and other things, maybe he saw VY as a drunk like his self or someone pressed him to hire him, I think this will be last stop for VY, after this, his quarter will run out....doing good things last so long and then everyone forgets...this is his last train to Clarksville....

From 247

"Sources told Horns247 Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte made the move to hire Young into UT's athletic department, where he joins three other “special assistants” - 1977 Heisman Trophy winner Earl Campbell, Hall of Fame former Texas women’s basketball coach Jody Conradt and former UT athletic director DeLoss Dodds. Those jobs pay roughly $50,000 to $75,000 and provide benefits, such as health insurance, sources said.

Young, who has an office in the north end of Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, will assist Texas athletics in everything from recruiting to special events and special projects, sources told Horns247."

This was a Del Conte move, not Sark's.

Speaking of Clarksville, did you ever eat at Casiraghi's?

Some of you are being a little critical here imo. I am a firm believer in 2nd, 3rd and possibly 4th chances, if the conditions are right. I say let’s sit back and Let Vince be Vince before we start pointing fingers. I mean really, what’s the worst that could happen....

CDC is pulling all the horses in to pull in the money and attention so that Sark has the money and backing he needs to pull in the guys he wants to go after the players he needs..............(my English teacher wouldn't love this sentence)
