Way too early 2023 prediction thread

We've had to pay a price because Herman missed badly in his '18 and '19 classes.
It's I had to pick a bright spot it was the way our freshman and sophomores played tonight. I'm excited about Brooks, Cain, and especially Sorrell.

My prediction: Sark wins 8-9 games next year. The team plays inconsistent. Loses a few close games. Plays bama close, but loses. More second half collapses. Ewers shows flashes of brilliance in some games, but then looks horrible in other games. Sark’s questionable play calling will cost the team a few games. Defense looks much improved but then struggles on 3rd down plays.
So basically an encapsulation of what happened last night....
This team has one way forward. Run the ball. They have some elite talent on the Oline. I am a bit irritated that they let Anginlou go. He is better than connor, majors, and hutson. Majors is not a very good center. Ewers will inevitably have the sophomore slump so there ya go. This team has a slim window next year with the current roster. I wouldn't want to be in sark's shoes. Look for beer cans.
Agreed. Elite O is predicated on running the football.

Angilou is not that good he was 2nd team at the time of his injury.

But I honestly believe our coaches developed our first and second year players.

And hell J. Brooks scored both of our td's.
The negative is I don't know what is going on with Ewers and the receivers.
We just couldn't overcome losing Bijan, Roschon, Demarvion that's 3 of our 4 best players this year.
But I love them for being in the sidelines last night.

Worthy can gtfo if he isn't with us or get it together and work on his stone hands and have a monstrous year next year and get drafted.
Uh. Angilau was running 1s at C homie. And he was our highest graded OL returning from the previous year.
No. He was injured in the last week of preseason. At the time of his injury the coaches had listed Majors as the starter.
And another thing. Bijan said on the lhn that 4 of the 5 ol they're bringing in are in the interior. We'll need it.
I liked that Cole Hutson came in early but the interior line play this year was not the greatest. We need DJ Campbell in there for run blocking. This team has a lot of holes. I think Sark sticks around as long as we can keep bringing in talent. The problem is, the talent is inexperienced. We are going to suffer until this program can keep top of the line experienced talent in the 2 deep. Wake me up when that happens.
Incorrect sir. He got hurt in the scrimmage running C with the 1s. He was moved to C to take over for Majors. We talked about it on here. He was moved there for the same reason we take bigger dudes like Cam Williams. More beef on OL.
He was going to be the C and he was 100% our highest graded returning OL.

He would start in front of Hutson and Connor if he returned. He was also a tremendous leader in the locker room. I have my doubts about next year and beyond.
I'm going to wait for the wild wild west in transfer portal to calm down before I predict anything
I don't disagree. I also thought UT had the best roster top to bottom in the B12 this year. So maybe team talent by itself might not be enough without better coaching.

You know we had like 7 players left from the class of '18 our 5th year seniors.
We have 3 players left from the class of '19.
In short we still have a lot of catching up to do. We have to be humble ourselves about this.
And I thought our freshman showed what they can do.
Did anyone listen to Bijan on the lhn pregame last night? He was saying we need more help in the interior said 4 of our incoming ol are in the interior.
I thought our defense for the most part played well this year.
And that was a good team we lost to last night
People in the Pac XII know that LR wasn't the only first year coach to make a splash.
Keep an eye on Kalen Deboer at WA. They'll probably finish in the top 10.
They also had a top 25 class recruited some good players from TX.
But you know if Bijan and Roschon played last night we would have won.
Incoming OL are all tackles LOL. They probably have plans to move them, but they don’t play G in HS. In fact, I think they’re all LTs on their team. Might be wrong.
Need to fix the 3rd down issues. Because holy smokes it was awful this year
I was referring to the team's talent, the player's innate ability to perform. I still believe the players on the team have more talent than any other B12 team. I am not talking about experience.
It is the responsibility of the coaching staff to develop the talent so that the team translates the player talent into wins.
Haven’t a clue. But I’m pretty sure every single OL plays LT at their HS.
That’s where 90% of HS best OL play. And a vast majority of D1 OL commits are LT. Doesn’t mean they’ll play there in college.
