We Rich B!+ch

We ain't poor! What that means...so if we cut a Coach loose then that don't mean shit in paying him off

so....our athletic dept sends $10 mill to the academic side......and at aTm?...how is that working?

My thoughts are that I stopped giving a sh*t about this several years ago.

I mean, I’m glad we’re on top in this regard, but all this really does for me is highlight (1) what an embarrassment the most advantaged program in college sports has been in the major sports in recent years, and (2) the scale of the outsize bureaucratic bloat in our athletics department that wastes so much of our financial edge over other programs.

This stuff will interest me again when it’s matched by consistently elite performance in the major sports.

1. The under performance is undoubtedly true. We have an overwhelmingly uncaring admin when it comes to sports. We are very left coast in this dilemma. The admin is invested in SJW issues. (See Shaka Smart)

2. This may be true or untrue but IMO the state of Texas talent is being diluted by too many P5 universities recruiting our state. UT has suffered from the scholarship limitation in football and other sports. We used to get errybody. Not only do we have too many P5 universities in Texas but there are also too many carpet baggers here as well as $ec scum. They are all here with their pittance of cash to buy players. When will Texas unleash it's power to dominate through it's unequaled financial resources? That is the question.

3. The amount of bureaucratic bloat at Texas is only rivaled by the Fed Gov.. If we were to ever cut the bloat and put the cash to work, we win. We could start our own TV network with that kind of cash. We wouldn't need a payout from espn.

UT overtook #2 in endowment by passing Yale which is pretty impressive. Pretty crazy considering UT has around 235k students while Yale only has 12,300.

Those articles are darn near 6 years old. Is that info still accurate?

They are bond offerings. Of course they are. Bonds=debt last time I checked. You might check for the announcement that they have been paid early but I doubt it.

So the logical conclusion is this: If aggy has debt to pay and winning football games is the guarantee, would they overpay a coach and players to make it happen?

Very disappointing, I was expecting to read about some ho with a lot of money Clob was nailing.
That's some funny sh!t right there. You"re all thinking "woo hoo! Party on clobs new yacht!".

Sorry to disappoint.

Remember Clob, a party ain't a party unless you got a midget there. Now get yourself a midget and I'll be there to party on that yacht.

So Clob, you are single and successful, do you have a boat? And why haven't we been invited?
I do not own a boat. I owned a boat but got tired of all the crap needed to deal with said boat. The old cliche about the two best days of a boat owners life "the day you buy it and the day you sell it" are totally true.

As I get older the immortal word of Pat Poehl, one of the founders of Earl Campbell sausage, continue to ring more and more true. "If it flies, floats or fvcks--- rent it".
