Thursday 7:55pm update: George Ranch running back Darius Anderson just Tweeted the following upon completion of his unofficial visit with the Texas coaches.

Thursday 6:50 p.m. update -
Members of the Texas staff stopped by to see RB Kam Martin, a longtime Baylor commitment.

Gotta love recruiting ...

After hearing this morning that RB Devwah Whaley was planning to take his visit to Texas this weekend, I'm told by a source with knowledge of Whaley's recruitment that the latest as of this afternoon is that he is "definitely" not visiting this weekend.

Whaley could very well still take a UT official visit, the source said, but it will not happen this weekend ... barring another change of heart.

Thursday 2:00 p.m. update -
DT Michael Williams was one of the stops today for LBs coach Brian Jean-Marie.

Just got word from a source that Beaumont Central RB Devwah Whaley is planning to take his official visit to Texas this weekend. Whaley has not confirmed the visit directly, but this comes from a good source.

The Texas coaches will be stopping by Beaumont Central today to check in. Whaley has changed his mind on visits before, but the word as of this morning is that the Arkansas commitment will be in Austin this weekend for an official visit.

8 p.m. update -
Not exactly a new report, but worth a note.

Just confirmed with someone close to Erick Fowler that Fowler is still on for his official visit to Texas this weekend. Fowler is still committed to LSU but this one's about 50/50 in my mind. This weekend will be HUGE if Texas has any chance to flip him.

Wednesday 10:10 a.m. update - Per a source with knowledge of Obi Eboh's recruitment, Eboh will visit Stanford this weekend and is now scheduled to visit Texas on January 22.

My thoughts: This is not the end of the world, but it's certainly not a good development for Texas. The Longhorns would much rather have Eboh in this weekend, but he's choosing Stanford. The person I talked to thought it was possible that Eboh may commit to Stanford this weekend. Not out of the question, but Eboh is a pretty respectful kid who doesn't rush into things so I do think he'll visit UT before making a final decision. But this one is definitely not trending UT's way from everything I'm hearing.

Tuesday 9 p.m. update -
Top LB Jeffrey McCulloch has been admitted into Stanford, which could make things interesting. McCulloch visited Stanford in November.

I felt very good about UT's chances before this but this could throw a wrench into things. I still think Texas wins out and he stays closer to home, but this one just got a lot harder to predict.

Zach Shackelford tells me Charlie Strong will be stopping by on Thursday to do an in-home visit. Shackelford remains committed to K-State but will visit Texas this weekend.

Forgot to post this earlier tonight, but Texas DT Gerald Wilbon confirmed that he'll be in Austin this weekend for his official visit.

Still waiting to hear official word from Obi Eboh on whether or not he'll take his visit to Texas this weekend or switch up his plans and visit Stanford. As we mentioned in last week's War Room, Stanford is a very real threat in this one. Texas will have some work to do in this one to hold on to Eboh.

A few more confirmation from guys who will be visiting this weekend.

UT commitment Tope Imade, Malcolm Roach and Andrew Fitzgerald all told me they'll be taking their official visits beginning on Friday.

Sunday 5:15 p.m. update
- DT Michael Williams has been committed to Stanford since July. Last night, Williams tweeted that he has been admitted to Stanford.

That news, while great for Williams, obviously hurts UT's chances of getting Williams to flip his commitment. However, Williams tells me he will still be taking an official visit to Texas on the weekend of January 22, so all hope is not lost for the Longhorns.

Saturday updates - A couple updates from Saturday.

Texas DB commitment Obi Eboh picked up scholarship offers from Ohio State and Stanford. He plans to take an official visit to Stanford. Eboh will take his official visit to Texas next weekend.

Also, A&M OL commitment Ryan McCallulm and recent UT offer told OB he's "locked in with A&M" and is not considering any other visits.
