Tuesday 9:40 p.m. update - Earlier tonight, Texas offered four-star defensive end LaBryan Ray.

Ray is out of Madison, Alabama and holds about 30 offers from some of the nation's top programs, including Alabama and Auburn. He has visited Bama a couple times this spring, which makes me think he's going to be very tough to get out of that region.

Monday 6:45 p.m. update -
Looks like Taquon Graham has set his announcement date. As I said below, this one looks very good for Texas ...

Monday 9:45 a.m. - I caught up with the nation's overall No.1 recruit, Marvin Wilson, to talk about his UT visit last week. Wilson said the visit went very well overall and both he and his mother enjoyed it very much. He'll release a top-10 in June at the Rivals.com 5-Star Challenge. He doesn't know yet who all will be in it, but Texas will definitely make the cut after last week's visit.

"I'm still trying to work it out, but Texas is in. They locked it in with the visit last week," Wilson said.

Temple DE Taquon Graham is looking to make a decision either later this month or in early May. Graham was at UT's spring game and he told me the Longhorns have pulled ahead of TCU, who he had previously listed as a co-leader. A&M is third on his list. This one looks good for Texas.

Dallas Bishop Dunne CB Chevin Calloway admits that Texas had kind of fallen off his list at one point, but the Longhorns are squarely back in the mix after Saturday's visit. The atmosphere, getting to know the coaches and seeing how Charlie Strong runs things has put UT back in contention.
