Dang, too bad. Just saw attendance for the SDSU game was about 1500. Tepid would be putting it mildly. That's crazy considering you guys have some really good players. I thought Shaka Smart would be a great hire and maybe he will be if given a little more time to build.See the thread currently directly under yours by FlourBluffHorn.
But the answer to your question is yes. Aside from a couple of stubborn masochists, no one gives a sh*t anymore. Fan interest in Texas basketball is tepid even during the best of times, but Shaka’s incompetence has ground the life out of the fan base altogether.
Shaka's teams have not been a strong inside team, even when we had Mo Bamba and Jarrett Allen.Dang, too bad. Just saw attendance for the SDSU game was about 1500. Tepid would be putting it mildly. It would seem you guys have a size advantage over us, but you tend to shoot a lot of 3's as a major part of your offense. It will be interesting to see if you change up and go inside more in this game with us being much smaller there. We have not been a good road team and mainly why we're in the NIT. If in Boulder, I would be comfortable picking CU. In Austin, going to be tough. Haven't won there in over 20 years.
Closest chance we had was UNLV and Belmont pushed that like a MOFO--- UNLV's response was (as I predicted) "sure if you'll pay for him".Please oh Please someone snatch SS away from us.....
You guys are killing it. Sadly, our team didn't show up. Reminds me of the Big XII championship game circa 2006. Good grief .Alright folks, how tense can a Shaka-coached team make things with a 25-point halftime lead?

Great game guys! You looked terrific. Go out there and win the title! Good luck in NY.Don’t give up yet. This team managed to faceplant with a 17-point lead with eight minutes to play a few weeks ago.
Not good. However, if they play like they did tonight, they may win. At least tonight was a good win for Texas.Shaka will look to get his second win in the last three seasons over Jamie Dixon and traditional basketball superpower TCU (he’s currently at 1-5) in Madison Square Garden — the same TCU team that absolutely pollaxed our hapless team in Austin on Senior Day. Should be fun.
