When I heard QE mention that he needs to work on footwork and leadership, the first thing my mind jumped to is/was the grease board VY message he left to the team, something to the effect of show up here at this time every day if you want to win a natty next year - it would be the equivalent of Ray Lewis' speech about your legacy at this institution years after you leave (again paraphrase). Under the right circumstances I think it would do a lot to circle the wagon about NIL and portal etc.
I love the young talent on both sides of the ball, but with so much senior talent exiting for the right reasons this year we really need some leaders to emerge.
Imagine if mensa and his grab ass attitude was allowed to prevail under the same situation? I think we would be dealing with a situation worse than aggsy is suffering through. We went through an awful situation with a divided locker room trying to (rightfully or wrongfully, I don't want to go through that conversation again) express themselves to a fanbase that resulted in low morale and hurt feelings on both sides.
Dark days - I don't want to revisit anymore. Here's to hoping someone grabs the steer by the horns.
