It's interesting to me that there was a lot of angst directed at gorilla mom and sympathy for the gorilla after it was killed, but little angst directed at the gator family and no sympathy for the gators that have been killed. Some folks said the zoo was a little culpable for the gorilla incident, but loads of people are jumping on Disney.

4 gators killed after boy dragged from Orlando Disney resort

The two cases are similar with the biggest difference being the end result. (loss of human life) I was wondering why the reactions were so different. Here are some possibilities:

1)Racism. Gorilla mom was black so some targeted her unfairly.

2)Species-ism. Gators don't look at us in the eye so it's easier to kill them.

3)anit-corporation sentiment. Please love to target big bad evil corporations. Disney should share more of the blame because they can afford it.
