Probably avoiding the forum for now. I mean there was a time where I would come on here and probably seen the same topic posted over and over and over again. I can't wait until the season starts!
I heard Scholz, BLH and swVA either moved to Canada or got deported after Hillary lost but have not been able to confirm.

On a side note, someone on here informed me that they heard that lupar_horn and Stanklove were trying out as a team for that reality show Naked and Afraid. Wishing them luck.....
Going back a few years, the funniest poster ever was Royalewithcheese. That guy could link any embarrassing thing that happened in the world to Aggy.
While I enjoyed DD's tirades against the aggy idiots of old, he didn't do it with anything like the enjoyment that RWC did. I felt like each post DD made was taking a month off of his life.

I went to the UK and Ireland for 24 days and I have been swamped at work but I peak in from time to time. I hope everybody has had a great summer so far and all are safe. I am ready for the season to start and I will get more active here.

I am fired up about Herman and his recruiting. Glad we got him at Texas.

Yes, Herman was a great hire. I was at the THSCA on Monday and heard him speak and was VERY impressed with him. Also, I was in the press conference room for the interviews with Tim Beck and Todd Orlando. Herman captured the room, as any dynamic coach should. He is highly motivated, hard working, organized, holds people accountable, is disciplined, tenacious, etc. IMO Herman will end up being a home run hire by Texas!

Understandably, they were pretty vague about specifics when talking about offense and defense. The names they did bring up in conversation as top players were PJ Locke, Shane Buechele, Kris Boyd, Collin Johnson, Naashon Hughes, and Connor Williams. I really believe that Herman is going to turn things around and get Texas back to being Texas in short order.
I was thinking about doing a roll call the other day. @utisdabomb, @Metcalf and @Fizzwilly don't show up on the @ search. I am looking forward to @madcow, @Son of Wasatch @swVAHorn, @Sholtz, @jsto60, @txleapd, @4MNChampsHorn , and any other that hasn't posted in a long while. Football can't get hear soon enough

On Ohio State coach Urban Meyer’s thoughts on Tom Herman:
If Urban Meyer isn’t president of the Tom Herman Fan Club, he has to rank up there pretty high. In his book “Above the Line,” the Ohio State football coach writes that he hired Herman out of Iowa State over bigger names because he had “a ton of expertise in the up-tempo offense” and thoroughly impressed him during the interview. “Right away, I could tell how smart and charismatic he was,” he wrote. “During the (job) interview, I handed him our playbook” and gave him an hour to study it and teach it back to Meyer. “When I returned,” Meyer said, “he basically taught me the whole offense.” Herman’s not Coach Mensa for nothing.
Hey dudes! Been taking a break from everything besides family this summer. We start football meetings August 1st, fresh camp 7th, and practice the 14th. I had a great summer and feel rejuvenated. Hope you guys got some R&R as well. I should be around more, but until school starts I'll be busy as hell. Coaches always say once school starts we get a break, so around the 21st I'll be around a lot more. Can't wait for the season! Hook em

Now that I think about it, I seem to reall jsto60 saying he was watching Golden Girls reruns in lieu of torturing his eyes with Charlie Strong Texas Football games. Now that Herman is coach, Bea Arthur in a night gown shouldn't be as much of a distraction I wouldn't think.
Ha. No, Bea Arthur in a nightgown is not a distraction for me. I was simply saying that Charlie Strong football got so hard to watch that even BLH was watching Golden Girl reruns during game time.Now, that's when you know it's bad.
Real Bear went total whako when Briles was fired....he is still on the bailer sic em site telling anyone that will listen that Bryles was a good guy and Texas is worse. The guy is a foaming at the mouth crazy man.
Hate to see him go. I knew him from way before this board. It's funny because he and another good guy named TexasLitig8ter were the "voices of reason" on a Sooner board back in the late '90's/early 2000's. I learned a lot from both of them on how to conduct yourself on a rival's site. I've only talked to him a couple times, but I hope he's doing well.
Scholz is ok, and I like him for the most part, but he tends to feel that he has a different set of rules that apply to him than others. He was reprimanded many times for his name calling, tirades, etc. He felt that moderation here on the free board "catered to OU posters", which is not true. He's not banned and is welcome to post here, but he is expected to follow the board rules, just as everyone is.
Yes, I know you and him went back and forth at times. I think he is a man of his word and not coming back.
