Why have lefties turned on Musk since he purchased Twitter? What specifically did he say or do that upset them?

Twitter was a very poorly run public company the last several years it was traded. It wasn't really run as a typical company to maximize returns for shareholders, but rather as a political tool to promote left leaning ideas and to silence cons.

Musk then bought the company to run it in a more traditional sense, to extract value and make profits and return value to its owner.

Has Musk expressed his political views? I don't recall ever hearing about them. Given he's spent his entire career in California and now Austin, I strongly suspect he leans much more left than right.
