The NFL didn't pick him up because he didn't declare for the draft. And he's making a decision on where to play his last season of college football. I don't fault anyone for taking their time with that decision.

And saying he isn't really interested because he's taking his time to play at Texas sounds like you're still in the "We're Texas" mentality and every player's dream should be to play for us. That's simply not reality, and it won't be even if we go on to have sustained success on the same level of Alabama.

We will always be the "Were Texas"! in Education and Sports Buddy..and I believe we will be back 1 day and people like you will want that mentality but , its reserved for people who really believe! And if they want the best education in the land it should be their dream...

I can't fault Zaire for taking his time. He wants to put himself in the best position that he can. Players aren't exactly lining up and begging to play for Texas these days. Hopefully they will be soon. Winning will take care of that!

What I said had nothing to do with not believing in us going forward. I do believe Herman will lead us to big things. And as the wins start coming, recruiting will get easier.

But again, you seem to have the attitude of pulling scholarship offers within days if the recruits dare insult us with wanting to look around and not jump at the chance to commit to us on the spot. Alabama has had historical success over the last decade and the NFL is loaded with their former players. But not even they can recruit the way you expect Texas should be able to. They don't land every player they want. They don't get instant commits upon every offer. And even they sometimes have to wait until signing day to learn whether they land someone.

And I understand Texas offers a top quality education. But lets not pretend having a diploma from Ohio State or Clemson instead of Texas is like having a certification from a trade school rather than a masters degree from M.I.T.

Obviously that's an over-the-top analogy to make a point, but there actually is a big difference. No pretention necessary.

Having said that, athletes are usually just trying to find the right fit. If it's Texas, cool. If not, that's cool too.

Thats why they go to Baylor cause they can't muster the course work and spend more time with the girls, if they have problems making up their mind then why even ask to be considered, why aren't the other teams hot on him? Hermans looking for a quick fix and there's not one or some insurance , he oughta just use what he has, he's lucky to have that , ask CS....

He shouldn't "just use what he has" because he only has two scholarship QBs on the roster. One of them is a true sophomore and the other is a high school age kid. And it would be correct to say he is unlucky to have that.

But, they are 5Star studs according to post on this board and they look like they can play right away or Man they was killin them at practice throwing correctly, make up your mindsif they can't play then set them on the bench until they can, nothing wrong wit Buc? This Zaire stuff went back a long ways to CS tenure and he's still not here..Why?

We need another QB period. Right now Heard is the emergency guy and he deserves his chance at WR. If the ND kid wants to come here, we take him. If he's good enough to start, great. That's on him to be the guy next year. And it's on Bo to beat him out.

If Zaire decides to come to Texas, I don't see him starting. He is an emergency plan so that we can redshirt the kid from Westlake. Having him and Shane more than one season apart eligibility wise will help.
