Trump had an affair with Stormy Daniels. No question about that. Trump is a high profile person, Presidential campaign or not. It is perfectly reasonable and even predictable that he would not want this information to be public. He would obviously be concerned about his wife finding out. He offered Stormy Daniels a non-disclosure agreement and paid her to not disclose the affair. This is perfectly legal. It is logical to assume he would have done this Presidential candidate or not. And he would have used his own funds.
Now, he is a candidate for President. Granted it would not be legal to use campaign funds for such a purpose and not report it. And we have a former Trump lawyer who is testifying that Trump intended to do that. But that lawyer is a proven liar and perjurer who is known to have a personal grievance with Trump and tends to profit by his conviction. And Trump would not have been required to report on campaign funds until after the election.
So, against this he said, she said backdrop how could you justify a conviction against a simple standard of reasonable doubt?
