It seems to me Quinn's legacy is entirely dependent on Manning, analogous to Mattingly's relationship to Jeter. If Texas wins a championship or two in the next few years, Quinn will be remembered fondly as a building block people did not respect enough at the time. If Texas does not, he will be remembered like he is now. Good but not good enough.
