I do believe he has to sit out a year per xfer rules. And he also has a performance enhancing drug suspension on top of that which will cost him part of the following season. So it'll be a while. But he will have a year and a half or maybe 2 left to play for them. And he can play.
I think he and his daddy wanted the UF staff to commit to naming him the starter when his suspension was up part way thru this season. And they said what they should have. Which was, no promises and we will evaluate him when he's eligible.
I read differing reports on whether the suspension from this year can coincide with his sitting out a year due to transfer. One said no, he has to sit out the xfer and then when eligible the following season his suspension hits. The other said they run concurrent and he can play in 2017 as long as he doesn't fail any tests or have issues relating to his suspension.
