Yuk! Yuk! Yuk!

Projected betting odds for several high-profile games during college football’s non-conference schedule include the Texas Longhorns as eight-point underdogs against the LSU Tigers for the much-anticipated tilt at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin on September 7.

We have been there before!

I love it! This plays right into Texas' and Herman's hand. He loves being the underdog and going out and proving a point.

LSU is NOT good. They will out athlete you, but an offensive identity they do not have. I wouldn't be surprised if Texas wins handily.

I agree with OldSchoolCat, LSU is not not good, and also think Texas will win like they did against Georgia, however I also think that they are still going to put a boot in Jimbo's arse in November. As bad as LSU is, we all know they are going to be better than the aggys.

Herman doesn’t have the same luxury of being overlooked or not taken seriously like he did at Houston. If anything it’s the opposite, and Maryland fully exploited that last year. I think Texas is primed for a good year and should beat LSU imo.

How can this be? They went toe to toe with an aggy team that lost a close game to the National champion "Clemson" and lost to the national runner up "Bama" by a close 22.

"Texas AtM.......where losses are just as big as wins to irrelevant teams in the SEC"

I don't disagree with you, but Texas being an 8-point dog at home is tasty. Trust me, Herman will be all over this with this team. Texas will beat LSU.

I agree, I was coming more from a standpoint of everyone will give Texas their best shot and yes 8 points is way too much

Already starting the deflection in case Texas wins. Anyone Texas beats is either not good, or didn't want to be there.
Y'all are an insecure lot. Sack up....you should win this one. LSU is a paper tiger....unless they finally get a coach, which I love Ed O, but he doesn't help the situation.

I am a bit hung up on the "out athlete" Texas......not so sure this is still valid.....two years ago for sure, but now......
UCF saw what kind of depth they had. Half of their team wasn't playing and they still won. I don't know of any program in the NCAA that has better athletes year after year. Unfortunately for them they have had Les Miles and Ed Orgeron trying to point them in the right direction.

That Texas team that played Georgia at the end of the year was a way more mature and sound football team than the one that played Maryland in the first game last year.

An aggy calling Texas fans insecure? Seriously? Coming from the most insecure group of fans in America, that's rich.

Dude was already worried about the response from the interwebs about the game....that's insecurity. Worrying about whether people think Georgia wanted to be there or not...insecurity. Worried about what is said on any other website....yeah. Flagship university my....

Be Texas....and tell everyone else to FO. Y'all are getting soft. ;)

I was just stating what will happen. Are y'all still crying over the recruiting rankings?

Not anyone on this board I don't think. Maybe the grown azz men who tweet at recruits on Texags, but nobody I've seen around here.

It's 2/21/19 and OK still sucks and for that matter so does LSU. F the color purple and gold as well. We're going to send those drunken cajuns back to the swamplands with their tail between their legs.

Now take into account that it's way to early. But LSU's offense doesn't appear to be anything special especially when it comes to throwing the ball. Doesn't this start to sound like GA? And unless something drastic happens within the next 198 days our qb is better than their qb. In other words I like our chances.

For real ya'll,

Pump the breaks on the shit talking about beating LSU. They are scary talented and did beat the living crap out of Jawja last year.

Let's see what our D looks like in April before we start the chest thumping.

I'm not worried about our D, We have lots of returning guys from our 2 deep to step up and get the job done. I will say this, don't sleep on their passing game because our corners are going to be young and their Wrs are very talented. If we don't get a pass rush on we will expose our young secondary to some big plays.

Also Our offense play makers are going to be better but can our oline give Ehlinger time to pass the ball?

We will have more answers once we know who we are bringing in from the grad transfers. I still like our chances. I have faith in the defensive staff and coach Hand, we will be ready to play.

I worry more about the pass rush and replacing GJ than the corners. We gotta have an actual pass rush next year.

Because right now we got nobody. I had this very conversation last night. Oscar Giles will be earning his paycheck this year.

I don't believe they'll out athlete us. Georgia thought the same thing, and we split their wig to the white meat. SEC teams outside of Bama are a facade. SEC defenses look good against watered down offenses in the SEC. Y'all play Bama close and get overhyped. Y'all beat each other and get overhyped. Big 12 offenses move the ball against everyone, but SEC defenses don't hold up against the Big 12. Texas is going to spank LSU. I don't buy into the SEC myth. It's Bama and nem'.
