So, the other thread is right in conclusion but is not even the best example from this week. In that interview, it sounds like Elon said Twitter doesn't censor legal speech. That's an obvious lie - just look at the ElonJet banning from shortly after he took over. That's clearly legal speech he just doesn't like. But there's been a much more interesting case this week:

Last week, an Anonymous group discovered the identity of StoneToss, the author of an explicitly Nazi cartoon strip (and its predecessor, RedPanels). This is, to be clear, perfectly legal. He's some pudgy dude from Spring named Hans Kristian Graebener.

Well, after making this discovery, they also posted about it on Twitter...who immediately took it down. In fact, they've spent the entire week banning anyone who even mentions his name.

This is, per Twitter, not against the policy:

Anyway, the Nazi whined to Elon and Elon was more than happy to spin up the banhammer to try to protect a Nazi's identity.

Does anyone think Elon actually gives a shit about "free speech?" He very clearly does not. There's just certain speech, like harassing trans people or, apparently, drawing Nazi cartoons, which he really likes.
