We are going on vacation for a week, and as many of you know, Austin is expected to see temperatures well below freezing. We are relatively new homeowners, and were wondering how not to come home to a fully flooded house. We were thinking:
1.) Turn off main water valve
2.) Remove hoses and cover outdoor hose bibs
3.) Drip indoor faucets
4.) Leave water heater on but turn down the temp
Plumbers and/or experienced homeowners, what say you?
