Texas adds Justin Mader, the nation’s No. 2 long snapper (per 247), as a preferred walk-on.

Pretty nice when you can land a top player at a critical (if underappreciated) position without even spending a scholarship!

Herman brought in some very talented PWO's. I think each of them had fbs or fcs offers to play ball but chose to walk on at UT. That is the kind of depth you need, helps the practice squad, and some of the kids could definitely contribute on saturdays down the line.
