Damien Martinez hits the transfer portal

Started 2 years for Oregon State, has 2 more to play as he started as a true freshman.

From Lewisville, TX was highly underrated and excelled at Oregon State. If we weren't so loaded I would like to see what he could do in Austin. As it goes, I can see him doing quite well at an Ok State. Baylor, maybe even better at U of H or SMU if he wants to get back into the state.

Iran Hostage Situation vs. Current Gaza Hostage Situation

In all seriousness, what makes this so different? I wasn't alive during the Iran hostage situation but I genuinely do not understand what is different between now and then in regards to a foreign government holding our citizens hostage for over 6+ months now. It just amazes me that we aren't hearing from the President more, get no updates, do not seek the Red Cross being able to see the hostages to confirm they're alive, etc. as part of all negotiations or ceasefire talks.

My expectations for the NFL draft (Dallas Cowboys centric)

First, if Penix is still there, I anticipate the Cowboys trading down with New England. Dallas giving up 1 (24) for New England's 2 (34) and 3 (68)
Later Dallas may trade down again in the 3rd round. Giving up 3 (87) and a 2025 4th rounder for the Chargers 4 (105) and 4 (110). Part of my thinking is Lamb won't be resigned long-term.

Therefore, my picks:

2 (34) Adonai Mitchell or Xavier Worthy
2 (56) some center, probably either the West Virginia or Georgia centers
3 (68) Jonathan Brooks
4 (105) T'Vondre Sweat
4 (110) Ja'Tavian Sanders
5 (174) Jaylen Ford
6 (216) Christian Jones
7 (233) Jordan Whittington
7 (244) Ryan Watts

All the world's a stage, and most of us are desperately unrehearsed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Unknown
Can't recall where I found this, but it is so true. Wouldn't it be great if someone handed us our lines every morning? Better still, the whole script. Then, all we'd need to do for a perfect day was memorize our lines, so we could weave them delicately and carefully into that script, and wait for everyone else to follow suit. How wonderful would it be if everything we said was "pitch perfect?" If we never said anything hurtful? If everything we said would eventually lead to a perfect solution for every problem?
Unfortunately, that's not how life works. We have to make it up on the fly, trying to avoid the bumps and potholes along the way. Sometimes we get it right, other times we don't. And in our worst moments, we make such a huge mess that we think there's no going back, that nothing will ever be the same.
The good news is that each day offers the promise of a new beginning, another chance to work on our lines, and "get it right." By God's Grace, some hard work, and the tincture of time, we can become beloved characters in our own life story. Without that Grace, the ending is hopeless, but with it, there is endless hope (paraphrasing Rick Warren).
Blessings and love to you all,
Mrs. T-Sipper
Florida man arrested and beaten after making fun of disabled guest at Disney World
A Florida man drunkenly made fun of a disabled person at a Disney World restaurant — and then got arrested when a scuffle with her family started, according to cops.
Brent George, 61, allegedly approached a table of four at Belle Vue Lounge inside Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, where he allegedly taunted a girl with Down Syndrome, the complaint said about the January incident.
Candace Boyette Goldberg, the girl’s mother, allegedly confronted George and demanded to know if he was making fun of her daughter, who was not identified.
George allegedly shoved the woman twice before slapping Maria Ayalde, the woman’s daughter-in-law, in the face when she tried to calm the escalation, the complaint said.
The Sebring, Florida resident then allegedly punched Ayalde’s husband, Wesley Goldberg, in the neck, who returned a jab to his face.
A bystander intervened and wrapped George in a bear hug in an effort to remove him from the eatery, cops said.
George told police he had been “struck by a glass cup” during the fight, which a witness backed up, according to the complaint. He also had several cuts on his face.
Police noted that no glass was found at the scene.
He, his wife, and two friends had been drinking at the bar prior to the incident and told police he was having a “good time” with the family of four before they attacked him, the complaint read.
The Ohio native requested to press charges against the group of four, but declined to provide police a statement.
The four others provided written statements to police and requested to seek prosecution.
George was arrested for striking the family and charged with four counts of battery. He was taken to Orange County Jail, where he spent the night.
His wife, Marla George, paid his $4,000 bond the next day.
George has pleaded not guilty, according to court documents.
March jobs report (bad news for Trump)
We keep hearing about "Bidenomics", and we keep hearing from conservatives how terrible and awful things are. But in March, the economy added 303,000 jobs, and the UE rate fell to 3.8%.
There is a serious disconnect between a lot of folks' belief that things are terrible. The UE rate has been below 4% for two years - the last time that happened was around 1970. Inflation is still a little high, but it is certainly not what people think it is. For the last 14 months it's averaged just over 3%.
The economy is NOT bad. Not at all. In fact, by historical standards, it is really good. Violent crime is down.
And yet half the country is totally convinced we are falling apart.
Aggroid Delusion has No End -
“the (Longhorn) move (to the SEC) was precipitated by the school in Austin’s envy over Texas A&M football’s success in the Southeastern Conference.”
This sheep cult longs so much to be relevant - it’s pathetic. Aggroid football hasn’t won a National Championship since 1939 or a Conference Championship since 1998. What exactly are they referring to when suggesting football success much less SEC success?
For those coming to Augusta for the Masters
We host a fairly decent sized hospitality program for our Masters guests in downtown Augusta. If any of you are interested in joining us for dinner, I can offer an Orangebloods deal for $150 per person, all you can eat and drink. We'll have live music going on most nights -- as well as TVs showing the golf replays from the day. Instead of waiting two hours for a table at Chili's, let's try to get a group together.....
To be up front and very clear -- this is below our cost. I simply want to give some travelling OBs a place to gather in Augusta.
DM me interested.
Sark on Staley and Hurley
Sarkisian credited both Staley and Hurley for their respective abilities to "coach hard."
"But one thing that is very clear in both of them. I’d say two things," Sarkisian said. "The first is they coach hard. There’s not for a second, you watch their interaction with their players, where they’re not coaching them hard. And they’re demanding of their players. But you can also feel the love coming from them with their players."
