It's been a year since we lost tooshybrother. A poster who always brought joy and kind words to every post he made.

His name was Howard Spenser. sadly the link to his obituary no longer works.

@Okie4horns alerted us to his passing. He had no family at all. he played ball as Emporia State and somehow adopted not just the Horns but OB as his extended family. He spent the rest of his life teaching kids (might have been special needs kids) and passed at 50.

We were @tooshybrotha family. He was the last surviving son with no other relatives.

He poured all his love into his kids and into us.

And sadly this week, we lost @Horn in OKC to colon cancer

Cooper Flagg reclassified up from ‘25 to ‘24.

Most of the time they’re cool to deal with but god damn, some of them are the biggest C U Next Tuesdays I’ve ever deal with in my entire life.

Relax lady. Life is too short.

Watching the players warm up and it appears T’Vondre is the only player suited up to play. No sight of Christian, not even in his jersey without pads.

Former Longhorn Jared Wiley was out on the field, not suited up though. He didn't seem to appreciate my Hook ‘Em as he walked by us.

My wife and I want to go as spectators for now. We watch on tv all the time. Some places they sell for so much more than others. I am not finished paying college expenses for our offspring, but in the next couple of years we hope to get some kind of classic. I wouldn’t spend any where near 50k and up, but we can dream, right? Personally, I would love a rough looking primered 50s car/truck with a hot rod engine, nice solid wheels and nice interior. Sure wohld be fun to drive with the wife in the upper valley of El Paso’s pecan orchard highway. Anybody else into this?

Tried to find another thread to post in, but not a lot of Rocket fanfare. Understandably. But for the guys that know better, what am I missing? This kid looks legit.

Looking to buy some blue tooth ear buds and I want a pair that has the loop over the ear. I'd like them to be noise canceling and have decent bass. Not looking to break the bank, but willing to spend a bit.

Friend sent me the obit for Horace Silverstein. Horace got a few dollars from me for tux rental back in the day. He had to be north of 100 years old.

Should have been a 59 or less on last 3 holes he missed 3 putts 1 by 2 inches & 1 by about an inch on 18 he missed an eagle by about a half a foot. he was making long putts all day just played a really great round of golf.

Is anyone hearing any rumblings about UT fielding a women’s gymnastics team upon joining the SEC? Most of the SEC’s cool kids have squads and everyone is pretty good at it.

SEC schools that don’t have gymnastics: aggy, Vandy, Ole Miss, Miss State, Tennessee, Cocky, and Texas.

1) Have an incumbent who is in his 80s, and looks and acts like it.

2) Be nervous he is going to have senior oopses and so avoid letting him actually talk. Only let him read scripts.

3) Have his VP be almost if not more unpopular than Hillary…but make sure she’s black so if you bypass her you lose your biggest base.

4) Now ignore the biggest issue that so many voters care about (the border), and let the other side frame the debate completely.

5) When you do finally decide to get around to doing something, use the exact same words the other side has been using. That way you make damn sure everything thinks you’ve been fiddling while Rome burns.

(Number 5 refers to Biden using the same language of “close the border” the right has for years. This is laying a softball on a tee for them…where were you up til now??”


I am a moderate Manchin-style Dem. This admin is MASSIVELY frustrating to me. Their “strategy” is to hope Trump gets convicted of something, and too late for the GOP to put someone else up.

This election begged for a younger and energetic person. Someone to get their ass to Eagle Pass and explain to the American people what’s going on, how the asylum law needs to be changed, and how he’s not going to stop until it does. And then tell Abbott to get his ****ing NG out of the way of the feds doing their jobs.

Take charge. Be a damn leader. But at 95 years old Biden can’t.

I’ll vote for the guy because he’s better than the terrible alternative. But damn, the Dems are just marching toward the cliff step by step and don’t seem to be capable of realizing what’s happening.
