My dad took me to see the movie when I was 10 years old, and it changed my life. From that point forward, I was motorcycle obsessed, and all I wanted to do was ride and race. 50 years later and I kind of still am.

Same with couple of my buddies and myself as well. We all jumped into motocross. Later was fortunate to sponsor Ward,Mcgrath,Carmichael, and many others with my clothing line. Still love riding and will continue till my skills go south.

Malcolm Smith still rides, pretty well from what I have read, and he is 80.

I pretty much quit racing at 50 because my reflexes slowed down, and it took longer to heal when I crashed. Plus, I started wearing glasses, and that screws with your depth perception and peripheral vision. I still ride, a lot, mostly dirtbikes, but my shoulder and elbow have arthritis and I definitely feel the after effects. Used to be I only hurt after I crashed. Now just riding all day makes my elbow sore the next day. Small price to pay for the fun I have on a bike.

I do miss racing, and dream about it a lot. Hope the vivid memories I have never fade.
