Was with a group of people tonight at dinner and these 2 Mom’s are talking about their 7 year old boys playing “select” flag football. I finally had enough and had to ask, “So how much do y’all pay to play “select” youth sports?” They told me they are paying $ 800.00 a month to be a part of the team… plus tournament fees, uniforms and travel expense to Miami, Vegas & L.A. Who pays that much money to travel to those cites for flag football? I finally told them that they play “club” sports, it isn’t “select” unless you are chosen and not paying. They couldn’t catch on to what I was saying.
