This scheme needs the big backs to block or carry the rock with Swoopes. With Warren out for the year UT can't afford to use Foreman in set. Maybe they will go to something with Heard and the quicker backs, kinda like a Wildcat, since the starting QB is too small and not a great runner to be a true dual threat like Mayfield and Knight at ATM.

Just use it in goal line situations. The 18 wheeler has only been truly effective in the ND game. We thought we had such a weapon since ND couldn't handle it, but ND has proven to be a hot mess, and teams have adjusted. It won't be effective outside of the goal line unless Swoopes can make plays with his arm, which we know he can't.

The only reason it worked in ND game is that they expected a pass out of it. Now no one does. A jump pass (Tebow) to someone over the middle would be open every time. But we only run and don't jet sweep or threaten jet sweep out of it. So it's just straight ahead. Clog up the middle and it's stopped.

It worked because ND's defense is just as tissue paper as ours they just don't face offenses that want to run 100 plays a game each week or else their stats would look like ours. If it wasn't Swoopes running over ND guys it would have just as easily been Foreman or Warren.

Use it in goal line and garbage time, Swoopes isn't a dynamic enough runner or competent enough of a passer for it to be more effective than our standard offense.
