A look at where things stand with Texas' top targets. Some thoughts ...
QB - Not much to report here. Roschon Johnson is committed and he's solid with his decision, despite interest from other schools.
RB - I bumped Noah Cain up and now feel Texas is the favorite after Cain's visit for the spring game. Keep an eye on five-star RB Trey Sanders. As I mentioned in last week's War Room, Texas is in a much better spot there than I previously realized.
WR - Jordan Whittington is in. Jake Smith will take his official visit later this month and Texas looks good there. Dylan Wright is taking his time, but I like Texas' position in the long run with that one. Guys like Makiya Tongue and Elijah Higgins are still strong possibilities, although Stanford and Ohio State are big players for Higgins.
TE - Huge commitment for Texas from Brayden Liebrock and the Longhorns still look good for Jared Wiley.
OL - Texas regained its spot atop the list for Branson Bragg after his last two visits. Tyler Johnson is taking his time but looks good. Javonne Shepherd is a tough one to call. Texas has really surged there but A&M is still a major factor there. Guys like Kenyon Green and Stacey Wilkins are still possibilities as well.
DE - T'Vondre Sweat is in (although he could be a DT in time). Texas is in the mix with several others but not sure I'd call the Longhorns leaders. The big change here was taking DeMarvin Leal off the board.
DT - Not a ton happening here, although Ishmael Sopsher says he wants to visit UT soon.
LB - DeGabriel Floyd is in and is one of the Horns' most active recruiters. Things are pretty quiet with David Gbenda, as expected (he's said repeatedly he'd take his time) but I like UT's chances there. Nana Osafo-Mensah will pick either Texas or Notre Dame this weekend ... I still don't have a great feel there but Notre Dame's confidence is tough to ignore.
DB - Kenyatta Watson is in. Things look really good for Jalen Catalon, as they have for a while. Really like UT's chances with Chris Adimora and Texas is a major player for several others as well, bot instate and out-of-state.
